Information and Referral

Information and Referral is the basic service of social service agencies. At Access California Services (ACS), we provide information and referral services for our clients. We collaborate with other agencies to provide this basic service. Each staff member is trained to ascertain our clients’ needs and to refer them to either our in-house staff or to the appropriate outside agencies within our larger community. We are committed to providing the necessary information and assistance of resources available for our clients. We are also in collaboration with the Orange County referral resource 211 OC.

Client Advocacy

Immigrant populations usually do not understand the details of life in the new country. They may need advocates to assist them with every phase of their lives. We provide this advocacy whether it is needed with a landlord, a doctor, a lawyer, their children’s schools, the government or even the local merchant. All staff members of ACS are available to provide advocacy. In particular, government bureaucratic requirements are difficult to understand. Our staff members assist clients with government forms and applications for various services.

Translation Services

ACS provides certified translation services for a low nominal fee to our clients in eight (8) different languages which include the following:

  • Arabic
  • Spanish
  • Urdu
  • Pashto
  • Dari
  • Farsi
  • French
  • German

In addition, we provide notary services.

Women, Infants and Children (W.I.C).

The Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program, which provides nutrition information and food vouchers for pre-natal care and children, aged 0-5, is conducted once a week at the ACS site. An bi-lingual (English/Spanish) social worker from the Orange County Health Care Agency provides on-site services to our clients.
